The Olympic Regional Development Authority will be the first of the six venue series to host the ADK Tour de Ski at Mt. Van Hoevenberg Cross Country Ski Center (MVH). Steeped in Olympic legacy,the first race of the ADK Tour de Ski series will take place on December 15th, at 10 a.m. As part of the historic Lake Placid Olympic venues, MVH continues to uphold a proud tradition of winter sports excellence, drawing cross country skiers from around the world to experience the new competition loops, and continue to enjoy the Legacy Trail system. The course will be designed to support skiers of all ability levels, and while we hope for our first race to be blanketed in natural snow, Mt. Van Hoevenberg’s snowmaking capabilities ensure that we’ll open the ADK Tour de Ski within a winter wonderland! DETAILS

Scott’s Cobble Nordic Center
Sunday, December 29th ABOUT THE VENUE
Scott’s Cobble Nordic Center will host the second race of the ADK Tour de Ski series, welcoming skiers to its newly developed cross-country trails. Featuring over 15 kilometers of groomed trails, Scott's Cobble provides a mix of challenging and beginner-friendly terrain, making it an ideal venue for athletes of all skill levels. This event will feature the skiathlon race format, where athletes showcase their versatility by using both classic and freestyle techniques. Skiers complete the first half of the race in the classic style, then switch skis and poles mid-race to finish in freestyle. Operated by High Peaks Cyclery in partnership with the town of North Elba, join the Delaney family at Scott’s Cobble– they will nurture your flame, and build a brighter community of cross-country ski enthusiasts! RACE #3Dewey Mountain Recreation Center

Saturday night sprints, under the lights at Dewey Mountain Recreation Center, will be the third event in the ADK Tour de Ski series offering a thrilling and unique race experience for all! The excitement of racing at night adds a dynamic element, as athletes compete in a shorter distance and high intensity sprint under the glow of bright lights. Dewey Mountain, nestled in the heart of the village of Saranac Lake, is home to a forested recreational system and is owned by the Town of Harrietstown and managed by Adirondack Lakes & Trails Outfitters. Join fellow competitors for these evening sprints, and then head into the village of Saranac Lake for a warm fire at the Hotel Saranac, hearty meal from locally sourced world cuisine at Fiddlehead Bistro, or a beverage from the new riverfront brewpub, RiverTrail Beerworks! The night sprints are sure to be a standout event, bringing together the community and showcasing the excitement of cross-country skiing in a whole new way. DETAILS

RACE #4James C. Frenette Recreational Trails
Saturday, January 25th ABOUT THE VENUE
The fourth event in the ADK Tour de Ski series will be held at the James C. Frenette Sr. Recreational Trails in Tupper Lake, a free and dog-friendly trail system that offers a variety of terrain and stunning scenic vistas is a must! Maintained by a dedicated group of volunteers in partnership with the town of Tupper Lake, the trails are groomed for classic cross-country skiing, with skate lanes available on some wider paths. With six main trails offering a mix of difficulty and picturesque views, this event is sure to be a memorable stop in the ADK Tour de Ski series. Pay attention to seasonal events hosted at this venue, most notably, the popular annual BrewSki. Swing into The Washboard Donut Shop, a beloved staple in Tupper Lake, serving up homemade donuts daily for over 30 years before or after you click into those skis for this open technique race! The fifth race in the ADK Tour de Ski series will be held at Cascade Ski Center, located between Keene and Lake Placid. Owned by the Adirondack Mountain Club, this 12-kilometers network offers a perfect setting for skiers of all levels to compete in a classic technique event. Come search for "The Kiss," cruise on "Downtown Alley," or test your technical skills on "Rabbit Run!" local cross-country ski legend and celebrated Trails Manager of the Cascade Welcome Center will promise to host a cherished event on a ribbon of snow, or a blanket of the most fresh! RACE #6Paul Smith’s Visitor Interpretive Center
Saturday, March 8th ABOUT THE VENUE
The final event of the ADK Tour de Ski series will be held at the Paul Smith College Visitor Interpretive Center (VIC), a cherished destination in the Adirondacks that offers over 25 miles of trail recreating through unique ecosystems that showcases a plethora of wildlife viewing opportunities. In the winter months, this trail system transforms into a premier winter venue on natural snow, providing daily training access for the Paul Smith’s College Nordic sport athletes. The final race of the series will be in the classic technique, offering athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills on the VIC's well-groomed trails. The VIC is also committed to environmental education, focusing on climate change and sustainability. Through educational programs and exhibits, the VIC highlights the impact of climate change on the Adirondacks, fostering awareness and encouraging action. As one of the most unique trails systems in the Adirondacks, the venue's educational mission, partnered with their strong community ties, provides the perfect setting for the conclusion of the 2024 - 2025 ADK Tour de Ski race series!
